Siskin Carduelis spinus
Though it nests predominantly in conifers the yellow-grey Siskin is also attracted to alder and birch, particularly close to water. With its vivid gold wing-bars and tail edges, it is often mistaken for a small greenfinch, though the male has a black crown and chin. Feeding habit? Very small (12cm).
