Coal Tit Parus ater

This olive-grey tit with whitish-buff underparts is Britain’s second smallest breeding bird. Distinguishable from the Great Tit by its smaller size, it black throat band which does not extend down the belly, and its sweeter chuvee, chuvee song. It is less common at the bird table or feeder than other tits, so you will really need to temp it. Very small (10cm).
